Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled General Ophthalmologist to join our established practice in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cornea, General Ophthalmology, and Glaucoma. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions.
  • Perform surgeries, including cataract surgeries, corneal transplants, and glaucoma procedures, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
  • Educate patients about eye health and treatment options in a clear and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree and completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice in New York.
  • Subspecialty training or experience in Cornea, Glaucoma, or General Ophthalmology is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to cultural competency and patient-centered care.

Day-to-day

  • Conduct patient consultations and thorough eye examinations.
  • Perform surgical procedures as required, and provide post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with support staff, including technicians, nurses, and administrative team members, to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care delivery.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote eye health awareness.
