Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist to join an established ophthalmology practice on Long Island, NY. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing comprehensive eye care services to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients with corneal diseases and conditions, including corneal transplants, refractive surgeries, and management of corneal infections.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program and a Fellowship in Cornea/External Diseases.
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
- Eligibility for a New York medical license.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with a focus on corneal procedures and management of complex corneal conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Day-to-day
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of corneal diseases and conditions.
- Perform corneal surgeries, such as corneal transplants and refractive procedures.
- Collaborate with other providers and support staff to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay current with advances in corneal care through participation in conferences and continuing education opportunities.
