We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Retina Specialist to join our reputable ophthalmology practice in Northern New Jersey. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures, such as vitrectomy and retinal detachment repair, with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay abreast of latest advancements in retinal treatments and contribute to the development of best practices within the specialty.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, prognosis, and preventative measures to promote ocular health.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology and/or Vitreoretinal Surgery.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Day-to-day

  • Conduct consultations and comprehensive examinations to assess retinal health and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including optical coherence tomography and fluorescein angiography, to evaluate retinal pathology.
  • Perform surgical interventions in a dedicated ophthalmic surgical suite, utilizing cutting-edge technology and techniques.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to ensure seamless coordination of care for mutual patients.
  • Contribute to the academic mission of the practice through involvement in teaching, research, and professional development activities.
